My honey is sold at:
Archbold Area Farmers Market Thursday 3 to 6, June - Sept located in Sauder Village parking lot.
Sauder Village General Store.
10 Thousand Villages Archbold
PURE which means nothing has been added or the honey has not been altered in anyway
RAW which means it had not been pasteurized/heated to a temperature that kills the beneficial bacteria and enzymes that are naturally occurring in honey. Even the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are damaged by the heat, reducing their value considerably.
LOCAL all my apiaries are located with in 5 miles of Archbold, and never shipped out of state.
My honey is not filtered or ultra-filtering . Filtering removes anything that might make the honey look less desirable which also includes all pollen. which reduces/slows crystallization. But the pollen and other removed goodies are what provides potential health benefits and flavor.
All honey will crystallize. To liquefy crystallized honey, place container in hot water. do not refrigerate honey.
I have a special heating chamber to raise the temperature to a controlled 105 degrees. I do this, if needed, before delivering to stores.
PS don't feed anything raw to infants under 1 year of age except mother's milk.
